Rapist freed after finishing rehab after the stabbing spree in January, 2011
A former prison guard at the Los Angeles County Department of Corrections died in a stabbing더나인카지노 attack at his facility last month, officials said Monday, the first death of an inmate at that facility in nearly t성남안마wo years.
James Joseph Estrada Jr., 57, had been sentenced to 40 years in prison for raping and killing a woman in 1996.
“There is one thing you can take from James Estrada’s death: He was never alone,” said Angelenos for Reform, an advocacy group.
After three years at the state’s prison, Estrada and another inmate died of stab wounds after the attack in January, according to the department’s medical director, Dr. Martin B. Vann. Estrada’s family said he was treated for stab wounds and died Wednesday afternoon from his injuries.
Dorian D. Green, 36, was arrested April 19, 2012 and charged with stabbing the man in the leg with a crowbar outside the prison. He survived.
The victim, whom police have identified as Daniel M. Martinez, 44, was transferred to Los Angeles County Adult Correctional Facility in April to serve a separate charge for a different alleged rape of another inmate.
Los Angeles County authorities said Monday they planned to release additional information about Estrada in a statement. Inmates would be permitted visitation to Estrada on the condition he not be seen by fellow inm바카라ates.
