The crash happened about a mile down the highway on the edge of a rural area near a small mountain town of 5,800 about 5:40 p.m.
An off-duty sheriff’s deputy was driving westbound on Route 19 in southbound lanes when the car, a black Ford Explorer, came to a stop in the center of the road. The driver and another person were killed.
The driver of the Explorer suffered a serious head injury and di더킹카지노ed at the scene. The other man suffered a fractured skull and other non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where his condition stabilized, according to the sheriff’s office.
A state Department of Motor Vehicles accident investigation also will look into whether the driver was negligent or whether the speed limit was improperly set.
